Project Overview

Drawn by the glittering promise of gold and jewels, you descend into a vast and treacherous cave network filled with ancient ruins and hidden dangers. Armed with a versatile blunderbuss, you'll uncover long-forgotten puzzles, outsmart cunning traps, and navigate perilous environments. Each cavern brings new challenges — whether it's collapsing platforms, deadly obstacles, or mysterious relics guarding deeper secrets.

Level Design

The level is built around a unique circular map with a dynamic rising-lava mechanic that creates urgency and challenges players to think and move quickly. The goal is to ascend higher before being overtaken by the lava.

Key Design Elements

  1. Circular layout — multiple pathways to secrets, various routes to the final exit, interconnected sections
  2. Environmental hazards — rising lava, dynamic environment destruction, increasing difficulty as the lava rises
  3. Navigation — strategic pillar placement, platforms for vertical traversal, multiple pathways for exploration

Technical Implementation

  1. Cinematic introduction — opening matinee sequence, environment showcase, key location highlights
  2. Audio design — dynamic lava sound effects, proximity-based intensity, environmental ambiance
